Homeschooling a child with special needs can seem overwhelming. Families need to know their rights and the services available to their child. Each special needs child is unique and the services offered to the child are uniquely tailored to them. If a family removes their child with special needs from a public school, they need to contact their school district to determine what services will be maintained. Homeschooling is considered a private school under the law, and although certain services are available, some services may not be. However, there are many resources and services available.
